AdWords Beta Interface Shows Pending Review Ad Status

Posted: January 12, 2009

A lot about the new interface takes some getting use to. Some items, like adding placements to existing Ad Groups still needs a bit of work.

However; the absolute best change is visibility into the status of new ads. There is a “pending review’ status.  This will make is much more obvious which ads have been reviewed and are ‘eligible’  to be shown versus ads which you’re still waiting to be reviewed.

hmm… looks kinda cool, havent had it applied to any of my accounts that I oversee.. i guess its a major step forward and hopefully it runs quicker than the old interface.

One of my ads has been pending for 6 days now. Hopefully they can get around to reviewing it.

this is great. this was a feature I’ve been suggesting to adwords support for awhile. glad to see it implemented.

Yep, nice interface, but I have had the “pending review” status for almost a week now, with no end in sight. Meanwhile, I have had great performance and clicks in Microsoft Ad center and Yahoo sponsored search

I’m very new to Adwords and have one campaign with three text ads. The issue is that I can’t get them out of “Pending Review”, is there an issue that I’m not aware of… I just want to get my ads up and running!

    Jim,

Most ads go live on Google.com very quickly; with the exception of sensitive ads. If your ads have not been approved for a week; then hit the contact link inside your adwords account and ask why.

Google has a pretty extensive help file on ad policies which might also help you out:
