What you can't test is multiple domains. For instance, Amazon could have in the exact same adgroup: amazon.com amazon.com/books www.Amazon.com/NewBooks etc... You just can't test: Amazon.com Borders.com BN.com barnesandnoble.com in the same adgroup You can still test Display URLs when they go to the same root domain. What you can’t test is multiple domains.

For instance, Amazon could have in the exact same adgroup:
amazon.com
amazon.com/books
http://www.Amazon.com/NewBooks
etc…

You just can’t test:
Amazon.com
Borders.com
BN.com
barnesandnoble.com
in the same adgroup
